‘The Great Nicola’, the American magician and illusionist. Nicola performed escape feats similar to those of Houdini.
Nicola was one of the big names of the Golden Age of Magic, a contemporary of Houdini and was very successful. His world tours spanned three decades from 1910 to 1939. This piece is over 100 years old.
Made of thin canvas/linen, this very large display is H 113” X W 81.5.
Bought from friend's estate Billy Jamieson.
The piece is weathered and tattered in certain areas but remains to be still a stunning showpiece for any collector.
